mostly for environmental reasons. Some days, depending on where you are, it's cold enough to freeze the balls of a brass monkey, as my grandmother would say.

It is not necessary weather permitting if you live in a nudist colony where it is perfectly acceptable, and usually required for you to be unclothed. Though I must admit, for many, it makes it a little difficult to conceal some thoughts and or feelings.
