  1. because it affects our emotions

  2. Humans are emotional beings, and music makes us "feel" good, at least it makes ME feel good.  It has helped bring me out of the most horrible situations...

  3. I have wondered about this.  Obviously, I heard about it sounding like a mother's heartbeat but this simply doesn't seem sufficient explanation to me.

Young animals and humans play to make our bodies work better.   I wonder if music might be like play, but  for language.  Have you ever noticed that people with different accents almost have a beat and rhythm to their speech.  Perhaps it is our inate love or need for language that makes us like music.  I haven't heard if other animals like music but I suspect that humans like it more.  One of the things that humans really differ from other animals is in our language.  We have such control of our lungs and tongues and other pertinent parts that when we talk that it is almost like a choreographed dance with the different parts moving in rhythm putting forth a kind of song that we use to communicate.  Just a thought.

  4. Oddly enough I don't adore music. Not sure why but I just don't see the big deal with it. It's okay for what it is, but okay is about it.

  5. because it adds life

  6. The sound of a regular beat reminds us of the sound of our mothers heartbeat while we were still in the womb.

  7. ever heard of the string theory?

In a nutshell, scientists say that all matter is merely energy condensed to a slow vibration.

Music is sound waves. in other words vibrations. It's what we're made of.
