It doesnt make sense to me.

A shark or a whale or a lion, ect.... kills a human, for food, because the human was tormenting it, or because the human tresspassed on its territory, either way, why do we 'take revenge'?

Doesnt make sense to kill the animal in revenge because they are not as smart as human, they cant tell the difference who is who.

And you might say because the animal is dangerous, that might be the case, but most of the time it is not. It is natural for the animal to hunt and kill, and anyway, if waters/territory is dangerous, keep away from it.

  1. It's because now the animal has a taste for human blood.

  2. You almost said it yourself, the animal isn't as smart as the human. It won't learn that it cannot attack a human; on the contrary, the benefits that may come from doing so may actually increase the likelihood of the animal attacking people again. In that sense, it is simply safer for society if we eliminate the threat.

  3. Humans want revenge even when the attack was the result of the victims stupidity. I am disappointed in a bio instructor confusing the word "probability" with possibility. We should sentence humans who kill as aggressively as we do animals.

  4. It's not really revenge, it's to protect other people being harmed again.

However I agree with you.  People don't value other creatures as equal to human life (unless they're Buddhist monks etc lol)  Sad but true.

Another interesting question is if my neighbour eats meat, why can't I eat his/her pet dog?  Pigs have been proven to be more intelligent than dogs, so technically if you base higher value on higher sentience then I should be able to eat their dog without any consequences.

Why not love the pig, and eat the dog?

  5. Not all animals kill just for food. Cats kill for the fun of it and play with it until it's dead and then will walk away from it without eating it. But I agree with you if a bear attacked a man while in a cage or a zoo then that's their problem for taking it out of his nature. Animals should be left alone to live their life.

  6. It is stupid. Unless the animal has proven to be a continuing threat (for instance, a bear roaming a particular area) which will likely do it again, it's simply idiotic. A child falls into a pit filled with alligators at a reptile park and is killed but not eaten so they kill the gator to appease the parents. How is that helpful?

  7. Ew dogs all all furry and stuff and skinny, pigs got no fur and nice meat. just my opinion dont get mad. I think humans want to remain as the dominant animal even though we dont have claws, super strength, poison teeth...

  8. With wild mammals, there is a probability of rabies being transmitted.  If the animal isn't captured and tested, the person exposed to the bite has to undergo anti-rabies treatments which are expensive.

I do agree that all too often the wild animals are unjustly killed following an attack.  When possible, the animal should be captured, tagged in some way and transported to a remote area.

Secondly, we can stop encroaching on animals' habitats.

  9. I totally agree with you 100% and it pisses me off like no other, and I find all people who kill animals who are doing whats normal to them idiots. Shoot if you see a lion you should avoid it. If you take the risk of going near it, then oh well thats your problem.

  10. the human kind kills animals because its a way of life but its now prohobited if you kill an animal you go to jail

  11. I know what you mean. It's stupid to kill the animals when they didn't know any better. However...

If the lion, whale, or shark killed a poor black man, I'm pretty sure the media would not have cared as much to get "revenge"..

And I disagree with the above statement. Of course killing the animal prevents them from doing that again, but there is no need to kill the animal if we can make the walls taller, etc.

These animals are tortured anyhow, do you blame them for killing a human?

  12. somethings are better left unanwsered
