  1. Whoa..we had an election already? Or is President Bush now a democrat?

The President is the Commander-in-Chief of the military, no one else.

  2. Hey dum dum, you just went into Iraq with abosolutely no plan and are still stuck there because you couldn't handle AK-47 toting terrorists. How did the Dems put you there, when it was a Republican house, senate and president. Russia attackes Georgia because we are in a weakened state, have lost allies, economically on our knees and have exported our jobs to China. Thats what the Repubs gave you so wise up , turn off Foxnews and read a paper your country is going down the toilet.

  3. ..../sigh....oh no... america world police cant stop something, what in the world will happen without us.

  4. do you, like, think they meant georgia in the US?  cause.  how does how weak we are affect russia attacking the country of georgia?

    did i miss something?

  5. get your facts straight Russia did not start this war.  We are in no position to fight Russia.  Mccain might be dumb enough to try though God forbid if he wins in November

  6. Actually Georgia attacked Russia and they got what they deserved.

Also have you noticed that Iraq is winding down so they are trying to (fake) the cold war again so the military industrial complex will continue to make it's money.  That is the next step OMG those evil Russians hate us again... well I don't buy it this time.

  7. Starting a war with Russia over Georgia when we are occupying  Iraq and Afghanistan would be stupid. It would be stupid even if we were not in either of those places.

It has nothing to do with the democrats.

  8. Russia is trying to save the influence on Post soviet Republics, but these republics invaded 90-70 years ago Know know price of Russian hegemony and slavery and are trying to escape it by becoming NATO members, they hope that NATO will Protect them.

If you See National Interests Of Russia, Proved By Duma in 2001 you'll see on statement, that Russians National interest is to become center in multipolar World and spread its influence on Caucasus, Eastern Europe and they central Asia.

In fact National interests of Post soviet Countries (about becoming NATO members) intervenes with Russians National Interest and that causes Conflict (war). If these countries Become NATO member than Russia won't have any influence and will lose it's national interest, that is most important think for any country.

Russia Claims to be Democratic (according to Freedom house it's democracy level is quite Poor and is falling every year),so it can't just go in another country and invade it (spread influence by putting there puppet government) and is seeking for reasons or Creating Reasons. Russia Provocated Georgia By killing it's Soldier in S. Ossetia conflict Region and by shooting Georgian Villages in the Region. Georgian government lost Temper and responded on aggression. Russia had already prepared militaries as was planning this provocation long before and began invading Georgia, it's main Roads, Railways, ports..

    Russia Hoped to:

    1) Overthrow Democratic government and put their puppets Loyal to PutMed.

    2) Underline the fact that it has a power and Russians Militaries are strong enough to conquer a country (in this case Tiny Georgia)

    3) Show Nato that they are to accept Country with serious threats that puts hole Nato to threat and in this way frighten tham.

    4) To Show the world that only pipeline that doesn't cross Russia and goes to Europe through Georgia isn't as safe as thay sought.

Russia is becoming Evil Empire and if it won't be able to satisfy it's ambitions and appetite as a revenge probably will become partner with Iran and N. Korea (they sell lot's of Armour already there)

  9. It is not our responsibility to defend every little country that attacks a bigger country.

Georgia started that nasty little business. Then found out that it was a big mistake.

I'm not defending Russia, they are still an enemy.

  10. Its not the dems, EU is not supporting the policy of US Imperialism , if you read the news, you would know that Germany , France and Italy don't want problems with Russia, they are too dependent on Russian Oil and Gas.Not even Israel is helping USA  over-there, Israel got a deal with Russia about Syria ( Russia will not sell a new type of anti aircraft missiles to Damascus ).

USA is alone and isolated, another sign of her decline and irreversible agony.Georgia and Ukraine will not be accepted on NATO .

  11. Judging by your question, it appears that you would agree with the fact that a President's military is only as good as his predecessors.  Therefore must we remember that in 2003, it took the GOP 21 days to invade and destroy an "imminent threat" to America with Bill Clinton's military. We were praised at how mighty our military was.  Therefore, with this victory, you would imagine that Bill Clinton's military would be exempt from criticism.  However, after numerous failed command decisions due from accelerating aggression against Iraq, we realized that we obviously misunderstood the situation.  This has lead to the deaths of over 4,000 soldiers.  So in a sense, the GOP is weakening our military. Now I don't want to get into that argument, I'm merely interpreting your argument in a different manner.

Also, YES, Georgia did invade Russia.  It was a militant group, and Russia retaliated, just as we would as Americans.  Russia's military is obviously mightier than Georgia's and had the capability to proceed further and completely wipe Georgia out.  They didn't. As a matter of fact, they reclaimed what they originally had, and stopped aggression.  Isn't that what we would do as honest Americans?  I cannot speak for everyone, but I would.

I love America, and I want to make America better.  Think of America as a child.  Do you want to baby her, and tell her no matter what she does is right?  Or do you use criticism, or "negative reinforcement," in a way that she can actually learn from her mistakes.  Only a fool can believe that America never wrongs.  Many people forget the key word in liberal is LIBERTY!  Yet, we're perceived as anti-liberty and anti-American scumbags for trying to guide America onto the right path.

  12. Yea, didn't Georgia attack first?

  13. The short answer is politics.  While I agree that the Russians need to be condemned with more than rhetoric, it probably will not happen.  The Russians are playing a very odd and risky game in this instance.  They are trying to show the world that they are "back" and not a force to be reckoned with.  The improvement in their overall economic situation allows them to do this.  However that same economic surge should be an inhibitor for this type of behavior as their prosperity relies on much of Western Europe; countries that purchase their oil and natural gas.

So their game can only go so far, as can our response since the inter-reliance between the Russians and the rest of the world economies are exalted in comparison to the levels they were under the former Soviet Union.  Yet there is one facet of this whole thing that analysts and economists fail to note, the Russian mantra has always been one of force and utter irrationality.

Though there economic situation is contigent upon the rest of the world, their bravado will fail to recognize this fully and they will continue to "flex their muscles" to their own detriment.  If isolation becomes reality they will once again crumble.  As it stands, their military equipment is vintage at best, totally ineffective at worst.  If you look at pictures from their recent ventures in Georgia, Russian soldiers were still sporting cold war era helmits and weapons as well as archaic tanks that still implement the obsolete "dragon-skin" type armor.

Lastly, though it seems that this recent exploitation is merely posturing by the Russians to remain relevant in a growing world economy, it is important to note the perils of ill-response.  In 1939 a relatively unknown, laughable head of state named Adolf Hitler marched his army into Poland unopposed.  There was no retort from the world, so he did it again and again; czech., france, belgium, etc.  He wanted to see what the Europeans would let him get away with, and the lack of response ignited a bloody, bitter global conflict; World War II.  Though the Russians may be playing a game of brinkmanship, it is vital that they are kept in check as to not propel another global disaster, such that only grows out of the indifference of mankind.
