Question:

Why do we lift everyday during practice?

we split up into 2 groups 1 group lifts while another runs and we switch

but why do the guards need to lift as much as post players because to me it just messes up my shot..and the post players need to get stronger and bigger more than the guards do

  1. Ok. Don't lift. But don't come crying to me when stronger guards are posting you up and keeping you from the basket.


  2. Strength will help you get in the paint when your jumpshots aint falling. Trust me, one of those days you will be wide open and you just cannot train any shot from the perimeter. That's when you need the strength to drive to the hoop and finish. It will make you a much more versatile player having both the ability to shoot from outside and score inside.

  3. if you know what you are doing it doesnt mess up your shot after you lift weights you should go shoot the ball
