and what effect does it have on the brain? Why can it seem to conquer anything? Anyone know of any good books or internet articles I could read? I'm fascinated by this but haven't been able to find any good reading on it.

  1. The effect of sound in the human mind are indeed very powerful and transformative and the reason we resonate so well with them is that we are made of sounds ourself.

The universe and everything in it actually vibrate at specific frequencies and so sounds. Sounds are capable of storing precise informations at cellular level. This can be well connected with memories, thoughts, emotions, feeling and even the structure of the matter.

For example, did you know that each of your organs of your body resonate at a particular frequency? And did you know that if you are ill, the related frequency in the organ change? Now this means that if you give the correct frequency to that organ (what's known as sound bath), you can actually re-establish the normal function of it and in some cases you can even heal from a disease.

Read cymatics or any sound therapy-related book. type Barbara Hero on google and see what it says.

It's amazing the amount of informations you can put together !

  2. I'm currently reading a book called "The Witch of Portabello" by Paulo Coelho.  In this book he says that music is universal because it is man's way of trying to imitate the sounds and rhythms of the earth.
