like we do now? Here we sit infront of a computer screen and find our answers in less than 2 seconds when we can go outside and figure it out ourselves. We only have a century to live, do you regret not living your life like you should?

My ideal life would be owning 10 acres of a green and grassy field with farm animals and having a nearby lake with a tire swing attached to the willow tree right beside the bank of the lake. I wish technology would stop growing :(

and yes, I know I am being hypocritical on my part. I would like to see your thoughts on this though

  1. You still can live on 10 acres and swing. I think your views are looked at under the wrong light.

Technology gives us so many pleasures you take for granted.

Do you really want to live like they do in third world countries?

Besides, what the h**l is wrong with sitting on a computer (unless it devours your life)?

I still exercise, I take salsa lessons for fun, recently got my Pilot's license for fun (only $6000)(and I am not rich). Its called hobbies and being active, and thats the problem with us. Not computers and technology.

  2. Technology has nothing to do with me not living my dream. Being broke does.

  3. I think that you can have it all - these answers only take you so far sometimes you have to go and see hard copy somewhere. I dont despair yet because we are still only playing with different ways of being just as you are with two realities. You can have it all now especially if you get an allottment. We aren't set on a course for failure yet. When we become slaves rather than masters of our technology its the time to worry -at the moment there are plenty of us with a foot out - keeping alive the tradition of turning off equipment with our digits to save us from evolving into just a brain and a forefinger.

I do drift around on this issue but think we are in our infancy just playing at the moment - the path of excess leads to wisdom. I hate the idea of owning a mobile phone that idea that I can be got at any time with no privacy is an anathema at the same time I can see the safety angle - It all seems to hinge on how we can keep a personal balance.
