Isn't it rather obvious, we should think that, without bragging about it. After all it's self-praise!

  1. Because mine are. :)

I agree with Jenny. If you can truly convince a child of his worth they rarely let you down.Worked for me.

  2. It's good for building children's self esteem for them to hear it.

  3. It's just that as parents we are proud of our children-they are not always wonderful mind you! When they become adults then it has even more meaning!

  4. For some reason a lot of humans think it's reasonable to shout "look everybody, I made a person by doing what almost every human being in the world can do"

It's not exactly splitting the atom is it.

  5. I disagree I have wonderful sons but that is only partly because of me my oldest is 12 and knows right from wrong and 99% of the time he does right and that is him choosing to be that way he makes the choice to be good not bad. My youngest is just over 2 and he is in the terrible 2 stages and can be a complete little s**t but he is normally a happy little boy so that is not really self praise that is praising them.

  6. I think its a bit worrying if someone makes out they are like this ALL the time. They are idealising the situation, which suggests they are covering something up.

  7. Because sometimes our kids are actually wonderful and lovely. Unlike other people's kids.

  8. No it's not self praise if you are saying your child is wonderful.

It's pride & joy in your child. Most kids are wonderful, funny, loving, inquisitive and caring.

  9. No, it's not self-praise.

My children are truely wonderful, exceptional people of their own right.

A child will grow up to be exactly what you predict he will be. Say it enough, and they will believe it. Say it enough and they will fulfill a parent's prophesy. A child who never hears praise, will never be worthy of praise.

  10. Children need to hear it.

  11. People Who say that really mean the opposite. A rich man does not need to make others aware of it.

  12. Its interesting yup taken into the context of how badly behaved surly and rude kids are outdoors these days - its like they have lost basic manners.

Its fine tell them not to talk to strangers but I saw a woman ask a kid if he was lost (looked like he was) and he just told her to mind her own business!!!!

  13. I describe most kids as brats or little devils.  lol

  14. Because admitting they are sometimes little terrors is not nice lol

  15. They call it a habit

    .. . ..

If the truth be know what would it sound like if everybody was telling what it was like trying to have the child get food from the buffet food dishes with out tasting everything or throwing food at their brother or sister

    . .. .

Just to mention one that is

    .. . ..

  16. mine sure aren't.
