It's really only a big deal in the event that all foreign supplies became terribly restricted (most of our imports come form Canada and Mexico). That is terribly unlikely. The loss of, say, one country's output would be inconvenient, but not devastating.

I don't understand why it is such a big deal too.  we give those people devaluing dollars anyway.
