Why do we not have our own Southern African forum somewhere else?

There are a few South African interest sites - but I enjoy this because of the International inter-activity.  Makes me feel like we are just as worthy, or even more worthy in international territory

Yeah we tried the face-book thingie a while ago , didnt really take off too well...

besides i dont like face -book , i dont want to be poked or bitten by a vampire or get hot-dogs thrown on me , every 5 mins...

But if you can come up with a similiar concept to this , ill check it out..

That would be a good idea! I think you should think about starting up a new "socio-political" sort of forum for Saffas.The YA South Africa is actually a travel forum, so it concerns me that potential foreign tourists looking for info will come here and see all the name-calling, fascist remarks and general intolerance and be put off for good. Remember they say 1 tourist = 8 new potential jobs!I still love my country, so don't like to see it getting bad mouthed on the travel forum. i checked the Australian site, and it really is much different (and very pleasant) - mostly travel-related questions done with good humour, pleasantness  and tolerance.

But I hope YA doesn't lose Bob completely? You make us laugh (and boy, we need a laugh!). Can you visit at least once a day to check we are not getting out of hand and put us in our place?
