  1. Yawning is an involuntary response when the brain is not receiving enough oxygen.

Why do people yawn when they see others do so? I can't answer that.

  2. it gets oxygen to your brain.

people probably want to yawn when they see others yawn for the same reason we want a burger when we see somebody through the window at burger king enjoying one.

  3. Because our bodies need more oxygen. If you're feeling tired, or you've been sitting still for a long time, your brain will tell your body to yawn so that you gulp in a big mouthful of air- filled with oxygen.

Nobody quite knows why yawning can be catching- but it's quite true.

  4. its because no sufficient oxygen is supplied to brain

  5. Yawn is a reflex of simultaneous inhalation of air and stretching of the eardrums, followed by exhalation of breath.

Yawn is contagious. The proximate cause for contagious yawning may lie with mirror neurons, i.e., neurons in the frontal cortex of certain vertebrates, which upon being exposed to a stimulus from same species and occasionally interspecific organisms, activates the same regions in the brain. Mirror neurons have been proposed as a driving force for imitation which lies at the root of much human learning, e.g., language acquisition.
