i mean, if you plant a corn seed, you won't be able to go out the next day and eat the corn..it will take months and months for it to become edible right??? just like drilling for oil...Obama is right, new drilling will do nothing to help us in the short-term, so it is dumb to even start...right? look at me, i'm a typical democrat...dum, de dumbbbb..

  1. Furthermore, the corn will require fertilizer and pesticides, both of which pollute the environment.  Crops reduce natural biodiversity.  Cultivation contributes to global warming.  Clearly, farming should be banned.

  2. Furthermore, it isn't a solution for now, it is a cop out, for The failed bush policies - Bush is playing the blame game to suggest that because of the democrats, he can't drill - even if that were the case, he had 8 years to find other solutions.  He didn't even try.

  3. Not everything is for the short term. You also have to look at the big picture.

If that oil will help us for two years in the future, why wouldn't we take the plunge and help America for two years?

I think two years is significant enough. American government should be doing everything in its power to help American citizens as much as they can.

  4. I'd like to know when corn stopped being a vegetable.
