Why do we put the cereal first and then the milk.

I put milk first for portion control.

I didn't know there were set rules for cereal to milk distribution in a bowl.  To me it depends on which one I am closer to. Usually the milk because my fridge is closer to my cabinets and I grab a bowl then milk.  Then to the pantry for cereal.

I like it better that way.  The cereal floats on top of the milk longer and doesn't get soggy so fast.

because if you didn't, the cereal would float on top and spill over the bowl.

have you ever tried to pour milk into an empty bowl?  it goes up the sides and splashes out all over.....then you have the cereal going into the bowl and depending on what kind you eat, can also make a pretty decent mess.

Well if you want a full bowl of cereal and not milk then i would think to put the cereal in first! But if you want a bowl of milk with cereal sprinkled on top then go right ahead!

Well, because the milk help dissolves the sugar on the cereal and so that the cereal doesn't make a mess and go everywhere

i do that except with the bowl first of course but sometimes i mess up because if you put the cereal first go get the milk in the fridge and see that theres no milk than you'll just eat dry cereal that happened to me alot! lol in tell my sis told me check for milk b4 the cereal lol

This way the cereal gets wet with the milk as your pour it, and you don't  make a mess.

Because if you did the reverse, milk first and then cereal the milk may may make a mess.  The cereal being poured in the bowl of milk probably would make it slop and splash out.  Just a thought : )

Bcuz if u were gonna put the milk first then maybe the milk would spill all over the place but if u put the cereal first then it wont.....I think.
