Question:

Why do we see spots when we stand up too quickly?

or when we lean our heads forward & flip it back quickly lol is it to do with our brains/vision?

  1. Orthostatic hypotension. Stand up slowly and this shouldn't happen.


  2. Its caused by  a sudden, temporary drop in blood pressure.  The downward gravitational pull on the blood is increased when a person accelerates upward, so the blood in the brain rapidly drains for a second or two.

  3. i think it is because your eyes arent getting enough blood because blood must obey gravity, so when you quick stand up all the blood is still down where you were sitting before. it takes a second for your heart to recognize the change and then pump more blood to your eyes.
