  1. Well, one of the reasons is that the sun light overwhelms the light produced by the stars, during the day.  The atmosphere scatters light from the sun, causing the sky to be light blue, obscuring the faint light from the stars, during the day.  One of the reasons our sun overwhelms them is that they are much, much further away than our sun.  At night the stars reflect the light from our sun and, therefore, shine in the night sky.

  2. During the day the brightness of the sun and sky overwhelms the puny amount of light put out by the stars.  Actually it is possible to see some of the brighter stars during the day with very close observation.  You have to know where to look and you will squint a lot, but it is possible.  At night the sun is blocked by the earth, and seeing the stars is easy.  Look up on a cloudless night.

  3. Because they are always there. Stars have been created and can be seen in our planet. They are always there.

Why do we ONLY see stars at night.

Both the Electromagnetic Spectrum and the glare in the atmosphere help create a glare in the sky not allowing us to view stars at night. This is affected by the sun. Even at night the Electromagnetic Spectrum is still in the atmosphere. Which causes the stars to appear to be blury.

  4. Even though stars do glow during the day, but we can't see them because of the glare of sunlight. When the sun is up, the blue color in sunlight gets scattered all over the atmosphere, turning the sky the familiar bright blue color. This blue light is much brighter than the faint light coming from the stars, so it prevents us from seeing them.

If you were standing on the Moon, for instance, where there is no atmosphere, you would see the stars both day and night.

  5. Because they're there!

If you meant why do we see them ONLY at night, it's because the sun's light overwhelms them during the daytime.

  6. We see them at night because the sky is dark and stars emit light.
