  1. I want to know out of curiosity....but yea its possible that it could help us in this life also, kind of along the lines of "learning from your mistakes."

  2. Because it gives us hope

  3. I don't really believe in it...either way...but I think it's because we think it helps explain some things in our lives that we can't understand any other way. Actually, I'm more inclined to believe that what we're experiencing is the emotions etc. of other spirits. Guess we won't find out the truth in this life!

  4. Ever hear the saying "Live life for today, not yesterday."

I think we should just live in the moment and focus on our lives now.

No, I don't believe it will help us in life. Unless God knew that we needed to know something about that person.

Reincarnation IS interesting, but I also think it's just a person trying to be something "more".  If you know what I'm saying.

But I also think it would be a good thing for us to know. What if you were someone from the past that had a major impact on something?

    It could be very inspiring.

  5. people have many reasons for doing things.

my point to doing it is to understand what I am doing in this life and how I got here, and how not to mess up in the future lives I may have.

remembering the past lives really puts your current life into a good perspective.

the other reason that I look into past lives is to help with physical problems in this life that were caused by trauma in past lives, if you remember the past life trauma, the problem often goes away in this life, in this way it is a good medical tool.

  6. just one of those dumb things we believe in.

  7. Some people claim they are the reincarnations of other people and say they have some of their memories.

  8. I think for the most part it's curiosity and for a lot of people it's nice to have some "proof" that your soul doesn't actually die. You don't get proof of heaven generally speaking and blind faith isn't always easy to maintain or have at all, no matter how hard you try. It's either in you or it isn't.

For other people it's a way to put their minds at ease. When you're constantly having dreams of a war that happened 75 years before you were born things can get a little strange. So some people are interested because they don't know why they have such dreams.

Others feel out of place in the era they were born in and get into researching reincarnation through that, to find out where they fit.

I know other people who have such horrible lives they try to research past ones to see if they did something bad they're being punished for now. And still others want to know if they can expect to be born again and will the next life be better or more of the same? Etc.

There are a lot of reasons and they vary from person to person. Obviously  these are generic overviews. Research into any religion that believes in reincarnation will show you much, much more than what I've said here.  For example, in some religions to be repeatedly reincarnated is actually a punishment because this world is "fake." Others believe reincarnation is a learning process, your soul evolves as you do good deeds until eventually it stops and you join God.

And there's so much more out there.

  9. I never really study reincarnation. I had some memory most of details of peoples faces in my head as a child, and didn't know why or who they were. But recently I was allowed or given these memories in detail of two other past life times.

I don't know, I guess it helps in some way to know....but the thing about knowing is you want more and more answers.
