  1. Prov 19:18 Discipline your son while there is still hope. Do not be the one responsible for his death. A person who has a hot temper will pay for it. If you rescue him, you will have to do it over and over. Listen to advice and accept discipline so that you may be wise the rest of your life.

22:6 Train up a child in the way he should go: and when he is old, he will not depart from it.

Deuteronomy 29:29 The secret things belong unto the LORD our God: but those things which are revealed belong unto us and to our children FOR EVER, that we may do all the words of this law.

  2. To protect them from Darwin.

Look, what if a child asks, "Why am I conscious of myself?"

Now what do you tell them???

There is no scientific explanation for consciousness that does not refer to external agency.

    Best regards!

  3. As long as my kids live in my house they WILL go to church or they can live somewhere else.

Why do we take kids to church, because believe it or not they like to go. They sing childerns songs, color, have puppet shows, snacks and because WE BELIEVE IT IS RIGHT!

  4. I've wondered as well...however, my fiance and I have decided that when we get married and have children, we are going to expose them to a variety of religions so that if they ever decide that they don't want to participate in organized religion, at least they will be able to back it up with their own knowledge.

  5. Children can see through the BS of it. I became an atheist at age 5. I feel bad for the kids that completely buy into it though.

  6. -"From infancy you have known the holy writings, which are able to make you wise for salvation.” (2 Timothy 3:15)

-“These words that I am commanding you today must prove to be on your heart; and you must inculcate them in your son and speak of them when you sit in your house and when you walk on the road and when you lie down and when you get up.” (Deuteronomy 6:6, 7)

-“Train up a boy according to the way for him; even when he grows old he will not turn aside from it.” (Proverbs 22:6).

How's that for starters?  Even when training for sports many find it wise to begin young.  Our creator knows the importance of early development.  Very loving counsel is given on how to best raise children which are an inheritance for God.

  7. God loves them it is nice they learn about Him.

  8. If only all parents thought like you.

  9. I don't do that, why do you generalize from ignorance?

  10.   If you follow religions, your brain is far from developed..Religion was understandable for a long period of time(until 1995 to be exact)  That was the year God's answers to all our questions  became available for the masses..Read Conversations with God by Neale Donald Walsch, available at your library..We no longer have an excuse for remaining  ignorant of God... God bless all..

  11. Why not?

If they aren't taught religion, they can't "choose for themselves" like a lot of people want their children to do.

  12. Two words: Impressionable minds.

  13. if you wait too long it's a lot harder to brainwash them.

  14. There is no fear in knowing God loves you.I am happy my parents taught me,fear would be thinking we evolved I would fear what will we turn into next.

  15. I don't talk to my children about god or religion. I am waiting for them to come to an age where they could learn on their own if they so wish and choose on their own. I am an atheist, but if they choose to belong to a religion, then more power to them. I will stand behind them and encourage them to make up their own minds whether they want to or not.

  16. Glad that my mama sent me to private school. =D

  17. To me, I don't see anything wrong with teaching our children about God and the Bible...........I would much rather my child grow up going to church, than to not ever have the opportunity to realize that God loves them.............

    God Bless.....................

  18. So they listen and fear something.

  19. Yeah good idea.  And we should wait and let them decide if they want to eat right, get enough sleep, go to school and brush their teeth.  Why push these things on them at a young impressionable age?

  20. You are to teach children morals, and responsibility, how to treat others, how to take care of this planet, you already know the general ideal!

  21. and let them choose for themselves!? haha silly man of course not.

  22. cuz Jesus said "let the children come unto me"

they are willing to learn without protest.

  23. No, it's better to teach them at a young age so they will not go a tray.

  24. Proverbs 22:6 says: “Train up a boy according to the way for him.” Training children is another major parental duty. When, though, should that training start? Very early. The apostle Paul noted that Timothy had been trained “from infancy.” (2 Timothy 3:15) The Greek word used here can refer to a small baby or even an unborn child. (Luke 1:41, 44; Acts 7:18-20) Hence, Timothy received training from when he was very young—and rightly so. Infancy is the ideal time to begin training a child. Even a young baby has a hunger for knowledge.
