I thought my life was c**p.

I thought since my parents were getting divorced.

We have no money for the things I need for school.

That my life, was utter c**p.

Until, a wise man told me some very valuable information.

:]

I am now completely grateful,

to be healthy and alive. :]

We do we take so many things for granted?

We should be lucky,

that we dont have a medical condition,

and suffer each day.

We should be happy,

that we actually have roofs ontop of our heads.

:]

For now on, we should walk with a smile on our face, grateful that we are still alive and healthy. :]

Although I don't know what I will encounter when I'm older, I'm 11 right now, I just have to keep smiling :].

Life is the most precious gift.

Your only given one chance at it.

Why make it a dark a dreadful story,

when we could make it wonderful,

and filled with love and happiness.

I probably sound real stupid,

talking out of the blue,

as if I knew the hardships many people overcome,

but I'm talking from my heart,

and right now age does not matter to me.

  2. This is a very good outlook to have when your 11.

I'm 21 and I'm just now really taking hold of this concept.

I used to have complaints about....every little thing, but when you realize that there are people that have it much worse than you probably will every have it, its a reality check.

There are things worse than your parents getting a divo, and not having money. Those are things that you can overcome, live through, and even become stronger from.

I hope I have a kid that realizes these things early like you. It makes you a better person.

  3. sounds like a poem, but one with a lot of truth to it. one of the reasons why some people hate their lives is because of all the hardships they have to deal with. it's like being in a boxing ring and keeping on getting knocked to the ground, and having to pick yourself back up again only to fall back down no sooner than getting up. as soon as one problem fades, another one surfaces, and the more you keep trying to avoid them, the worse it gets. it takes appreciating what we have right in front of us and making the most of our lives that has us moving on, moving past it, but it takes dealing with our problems face to face that can make us stronger people.

  4. hey there.i would like to say that you wrote a very touching poem there.

there are also times in my life that i dwelt on only the negative and crappy things in my life.

i seemed to take for granted the beautiful things god has given me.

there were even times when i relied only on myself, and i sort of forgotten that there was a god, a more superior being than i am, whom i could run to, whom i could ask for help.

i also wonder why i forget to smile and be grateful for the blessings i've been given, as if there's this natural inclination to frown and complain and whine about.

however, i try to find that spark of hope, that innermost piece of myself, and find peace within it. i believe this is the only way i can cope with all the negative things fate drops in my path.

i hope that i can share with you the knowledge that the answer you're seeking cannot be found in others.

    it is only within you.

    hope i helped!

  5. uuuh cute...but i take a lot of c**p for granted

  6. I hear ya kid. People take things for granted because they thing that no matter what, they'll never lose what they have. I appreciate everything I have, especially family and friends. Whenever I think my life sucks I think of people who have it worse than I do and I try not to complain because I know things could be so much worse and am thankful that they are not.

  7. Treat others how you want to be treated. Just keep the good heart you have! With age comes more and more knowledge. Positive life brings positive rewards!
