If human being didn't have tongues, wouldn't we communicate in an equally efficient manner?

Isn't action more defining than words?

  1. This is more philosophical than anything.

I'm sure that even without words, humans would have developed a way to communicate (look at morse code, braille, that kind of thing)

Also, there are tribes in Africa who use clicking as a part of their language as well.

This is a very interesting question, which one can only speculate on.

  2. we use words to label things. doing so lets us think we know what somthing is and go on about our day. But everything is far more complex than we would ever know. In reality the human would not be able to Comprehend everything about life. theres just too much to know, that we will enver be able to know.

I've been thinking about the same thing lately. Imagine us as cave men with no language other than grunts and actions. Looking at a tree or flower or rock or animal without using any words is awe inspiring.

    I think too much maybe

  3. if we didn't have tongues...we would probably have developed our ability to mentally communicate without words.  And there is always sign language, some of which I use on the roads every day!

  4. We would have developped other ways to communicate but I wouldn't think they'd be equally efficient as words.

  5. Well try asking this question with no words. See how well it turns out ;)

    There's your answer.

  6. that is basiclly asking why do we breath i feel that its easier cause u get ur point across with just actions sometimes ppl dont understand what you are saying
