Almost every religion looks to death as an eternal bliss, the picture of Heaven (or whatever you want to call it) it painted so beautifully why are we all trying so hard to stay alive when we are told that death is basically a Paradise.

I'm not looking for any sort of religious answers or people quoting something or the other, I just want your logical thoughts on this.

  1. Because its fun to live :)

None really knows what happens after you pass away

  2. To see my grandchildren grow up, to travel and to have a few more adventures.  I live one day at a time, because that is what makes sense for me.  How does that quote go?  Live as if you'll die tomorrow, dream as if you'll never die.  Or something like that.

  3. Do not trust religion. I believe in death after life, not in life after death. live life to it's fullest.

  4. My best guess is that we just like living, we don't exactly know what is afterlife, so before we jump ship, its a good idea just to live life to its fullest. Plus we're alive for such a short time anyway...

A while ago I thought all of this was a waste of time and wanted to off myself, but then I thought of all the dumb stuff I have to look forward to (you have so much to live for maaann (is so true)). Plus I'm interested in the future lol

  5. I'm terrified of the unknown.  Therefore, I'm terrified of dying... because I have no idea what is going to happen to me.

  6. I don't want to live that badly. On the other hand Iv never been religious. It is a mix of a few things. For humans, I believe, a lot of it is the result of overthinking, therefore becoming scared of the unknown. That's never been a fear of mine so that would explain why I am not frightend. Then I thought of the instict to survive, which isn't the same as wanting to live badly, but it is obviously related. Running form the bad just seems natural and being forced out of your current state (death) is hard to deal with (bad). And, for humans, death is played up, in socioty from the time of childhood untill you die suicide, homicide, death by natural cause, it's never thought of in a positive way.

Suicide- is naturally thought of as unnatural, therefor bad.

Homicide/Murder-  Is sometimes commited in terrible forms, seeming unjust to many.

Death in general/ Death by natural cause- is still played up because it is in general sad because you miss the person that has died, the fact that you aren't sure what has happend to them, whatever the reason may be.

Then there's the fact that many people still feel theres so much to do.

So, growing up with this look on death its no wonder so many people try to stay alive. People like living, and death can seem so bad.

  7.   There is still much to do.

  8. so we can eat

  9. Before you are conceived you are Living a Life as a sperm that fertilizes an egg in a womb You also living as an egg before you are conceived you are Living a Life.

When you are conceived you are Living a Life in a womb for almost 266 days. You leave that Life in that womb knowing nothing about the Life that is to come. You exit that womb to enter another womb, except this is a womb with a view.

From one eye-blink to the next you are learning about the Life of which  you know very little. Just as you were being prepared for the womb with the view, you are being prepared for the next exit and entrance.

We are merely exiting & entering; changing rooms & costumes.

The wheel spins where it stops, nobody knows, to be sure the wheel will stop.

Death is the most important. Nothing we do is more important. Death cancels all previous engagement, appointments, and events.  It even cancels births.

I  died a long time ago in the future. I am merely experiencing glimpses of my Life flashing before my eyes, a second chance,  so that I can correct any errors, offenses, mistakes or harm that I have caused to myself or others.

If one does not Live in ways significant which make life worth Living, then the death is insignificant and worthless..

Are you dying to Live or Living to die?

  10. Ever since the beginning of Earth, the beginning of living things, the rule of nature is to trying to live and keep the species going. Through evolution, living things develop the desire to live. Any organism that does not have the desire to live would extinct right away.

All the organisms in the world wants to live, instinctively. Until, us, the humans start to think why do we live. My opinion is that we live for two things, the nature and ourselves. We are here to keep our species going. And after that job is done, we just need to do things to let us have enough happiness and fun before our time is over.

  11. Food and s*x! :)

Seems we are always searching for that perfect answer.

Our brains are wired for bliss and we always want that drug our brains can make
