Why do we waste our lives answering questions on yahoo?

I can understand if we have a serious question like a pet question, car question, child question, or need gift ideas but why are we here if we ask stupid questions or polls or just to answer others pointless questions??

Don't we have anything better to do with our lives??

We waste our lives watching T.V., games, chatting over meaningless topics and what not.Here at least we can get useful knowledge too.

It takes your mind off things to see other people's problems. But I know what you mean, its not like the points you get for answering questions amount up to anything.

Because we like to hear other people opinions. we like being social. everyone likes a friend. Which is why you asked a pointless question like this

Y!A is very useful.... Stupid questions - not our problem. Just see the good part of Y!A. You'll see a lot. I've really learnt a lot from here. Y!A has shaped my life. It's really great and whole lot of fun......

I'm happy to say I don't require a lot of time messing around here with Q&A, I have many more important things to do and 15 - 30 min. every now and then isn't much as is reflected in my weekly point accumulation on my profile page.

I see people with thousands of points and think to myself, "What in the world did these poor souls do before Q&A came along?" It must be absoutly awful to have this for the only human interaction in a persons life.
