Some people need spectacles from childhood,others get them later on in life when they do not have the same vision they  use to have.

Its so gradual you don't even notice until some one asks you why your squinting when reading.That when you realise you need Spects

i'm assuming you mean glasses and people wear them cuz when your eye looks through them it changes how everything looks...the light hits the lense differently and thats why everyone has a different perscription
