Why do we women crave things specially chocolate when our periods are coming?

Our bodies are lacking, or needs to build up, what ever it is in the food we are craving.  I usually crave rare beef steaks because I am anemic and need the boost of iron.

Chocolate is said to cause the release of a chemical that makes women feel satisfied and happy and this is useful when we feel like c**p!

and they say women get horny around that time because its the peak time to get pregnant- isnt it crazy how nature encourages reproduction
