  2. i would have to say that they really love their dogs. love them more than family, if they have any. but i think they should give it to charity or something more helpful

  3. I'm not very wealthy but I left a stipulation for my beneficiary for my dog, because i love her :)

  4. Because they love their pets and want to see them taken care of. Otherwise if there was no money there to appeal to people to take care of the animals they would all end up in the pound and euthanized. But setting up a trust for the pet allows people to gain access to the trust for the purpose of taking care of the animals. Although legally you can only take out cash for the pet it's ussually customary for the executor of the estate to syphon cash out of the account for as long as the animal lives and just doctor the books to look legit.

It's basically bribery to care for the animal instead of putting it down.

  5. They leave money to their animals and many times to a organization for a greater cause dealing with animals as well. I guess it is better than having the animal be euphanized, and the money to the different organizations is to ensure the proper care of animals in shelters across the country, or the one they just left money to.

  6. because their pets were such good companions during life they are essentially paying whoever takes custody of the animal after their death to be able to take care of the animal for the rest of it's life and at the same standard it grew accustomed to.

  7. I think both Kurzain and Mike  above are right,
