Why do white candles burn faster than a colored candle?

 I think it has something to do with the wick and the dye but I'v tested it and the white candles burn faster.But idk.

All things being equal (wax type, shape, wick type and size), darker candles burn faster than lighter candles because dark colors absorb more energy than light colors. A white candle will reflect some of the heat, making the was burn slower. So if you are in for a long romantic night, pick a bright white candle to extend the mood light

i did my project and the white lasted the longest. THe green went out first then the red hten white. I got small candles and it lasted 9.5 hours
