Why do white cubans and black cubans hate each other.?

Im white cuban and my family do not like black cubans.

Have you studied the colonization of Cuba and the mistreatment of Nubians/people of color through out the global its global where ever colonization took place you find that oppression and animosity-from Africa whats presently called the middle east America , Mexico, ect. you have to study the history of a thing if you what to overstand it and its affects.

For the same reason that Blacks and Whites in the U.S. often dislike each other...Racism.  The original White Spanish settlers of Latin America and the Spanish Caribbean imported Slaves from Africa as did the Portuguese in Brazil.  Even though many Spanish and Portuguese mixed with the Africans and Native Americans, many did not mix.  The people that remained of pure European Spanish or Portuguese descent have always been the ruling, upper-class aristocracy in Latin America and they have always considered themselves superior to those of African or Native American descent.  In Latin America, the darker you are, the poorer you tend to be and the more you're looked down on.  And even though nobody in Cuba is rich anymore due to their communist government, the racial divisions still exist.  It's all part of the Latin American Caste system that most most Americans aren't even aware of.

wow, thats sad and pretty stupid.

But I blame white America for there hate.

LIke snow white is good example and just yesterday I was reading this American Fairy tales, and in each story they spoke about how fair she is and, once said this king had three daughters and how fair each one was but one, but was ok.....I was like wtf.

Also heres another thing here in America media they rather show very light skin blacks and for Hispanics they show light to white and for asians she is always pale....and guess what? Other shades exist!! I seen some brown skin asians and some pretty close to dark and I have seen some very dark Hispanics too and one is even in my class....its very sad.

Nothing but brainwashing. But things will be better : )

When the European Empire was at its peak, the use of color to show a difference in The Fortunate and Unfortunate, took presidents over creating unity amongst cultural integration. It is said that During the Roman and European Empire's reign, whites saw paler skin as a reflection of wealth. This was due in part to the little sun that most received due to the fact that they were not out door workers (slaves). As time progressed and the empire spread from the Major European countries to their subordinate conquered Islands, white pale skin became the measurement by which  Wealth was Recognized. So, in conclusion those that feel that dark skin is bad or evil or for the fact of the matter "poor" tend in turn to hate dark skin rather than see it as a Modern Day European form of slavery. Hence Forth, that is why so many white Cubans hate Black Cubans and as a West Indian  American I see this behavior of a "subordinate color" continuation.

Kelly W, how can you blame America for it? Do you no anything about Cuba's history? EVERY country has had tense race relations in this part of the world, since white people were at the top of all the societies and blacks and Indians were looked at as garbage.

White Cubans don't like black Cubans because they're racist, and racism is in nearly every society especially in North & South America
