  1. Black people, like any other race, and be just as smart as everyone else. There are black people who can study philosophy and other things. Just because we are black, or hispanic, or asian, doesn't mean we can't be smart.


  2. We don't. It is black people themselves who do not think they are good enough, as they look at these subjects as being for white people only!

    They do have a rather large chip on their shoulder's, you know slavery and all that!

  4. Firstly you say "white people" and then jump straight into the term "blacks".....hmmm!

    Secondly - that isn't true. And if anyone is placing limits on others...well it is up to the individual to go against any limits placed upon them...that's how all individuals should behave.

    If you can achieve something or you want to do something - even when others say you can't - bugger to them...its your life!

  7. Most feel that we aren't smart enough. Didn't you read about some think that we only got through school with Affirmative Action? Some Whites not all feel that we are inferior and shouldn't be in school studying hard subjects. No, I don't think you are racist for asking this question like the one man called you. They ask their questions about Black people getting AA and that we are taking over and that isn't racist?

  8. In my university, I study literature, philosophy and world religions.

    Not once have I felt as if I didn't belong in any of those classes.

    Not once did some one look at me weird for answering questions and making theories.

    I don't understand your question because I never came in contact with someone who thought I didn't deserve or has inhibited me to learn and discuss philosophy because my skin is brown.

  16. I'm studying Civil Engineering in college, so that just destroyed this question didn't it.

    I'm also Number 1 in my class, my white/black and Asian class mates come to me for help in 3 of the classes.
