Why should blacks get over slavery? I have yet to see my reparations or even so much as an apology from caucassians. Why should I get over slavery, not to mention everything after slavery to follow? Do white people honestly believe this **** is over?

  1. It was biblical for us to go into slavery. Our ancestors, broke the covenant with the most high, handed down by Moses. If you are an African American than you are an Hebrew Israelite and now we fall under the curses given in Deut. 28 and Lev. 26. Our history does not start in America as slaves, but our history is the bible and those are our ancestors. Moses, Abraham, David, Solomon and Yahoshua aka Jesus.

The site below should answer all your questions scripturaly on why we went into slavery and why we are in mental slavery till this day.

Best wishes on your search for truth and understanding.

  2. And what did my people way over in irland have to do with any of this slavery stuff?  and you want what from me when my people were on the other side of the world?  Or wait it might be the indian in me that got ran off thier land by maybe these same saucassians that you are thinking of.  You were not a slave and niether were your ma or pa so it is time to get over this And quit being one of those that act like you deserve to have something gave to you for nothing.  If the welfare system would be stopped then families would learn to take care of thier own and get out and work like they should.

  3. Well, I don't know how you could possibly get over something you never experienced!  You could maybe consider welfare reparations, since a bunch of wealthy white people are paying for it!

It's only not over because dumb s**+ts like Jesse Jackson and Al "not so Sharp"ton won't let it!  They make millions by exploiting the very people they claim to help!  I'm not saying there has never been an injustice done to a black person since slavery, but for Christ's sake, you have every opportunity imaginable in this country!!!  Your Grand parents, no doubt, had it pretty hard. But any young black person in America has endless possibilities!   You can go to college for free simply because you ARE black!

But it's much easier to ***** and moan and complain about how hard it is than to just buckle down and get something done!  Maybe if there were some strong black role models (a.k.a.- a permanent father figure) for the children to look up to instead of fools like Ja Rule and 50 cent they could grow up and realize that selling crack and gang bangin isn't all it's cracked up to be!  Maybe they could even work hard in H.S., go to college for free and make something of themselves *gasp*!  Noble concept.

You should be asking for reparations from all the rich rapper thugs who are influencing your children and teaching them how to be trash!  But oh, they're just so d@mn cool!!!

As for the apology....I'm sorry my Great great great great grandpa possibly owned yours!  Feel better?

P.S.- You know, there is still slavery going on in this world!  If you feel so passionately about it why don't you do something to help those people instead of looking for an apology and a handout!!!

  4. Because there white

  5. Slavery should not be forgotten. Nor should Native Americans, the Holocaust, the Rape of Nanking, the Revolutionary War, the Salem Witch Trials, the Spanish Inquisition, Bloody Sunday, Waco, or any other event in which people have been persecuted, tortured, opressed, murdered, or otherwise been injusticed.

We should remember them so we can prevent them from happening again  - although we do suck at it. No one should be treated in these ways.

And no. these things are not over. Look at the FLDS mess, the Sudan, Iraq, infant adoption, immigration and all the other places and things that are going on.

I am sorry you feel so angry and I as a mostly white girl (sorry - I have some Chippewa blood) I apologize for what happened to your people. I also apologize to the Jews, The Puritans, Women, Children, The Poor, Mexicans, The Irish, Tibet, and everyone else who has been treated poorly now or before my time.

I have ancestors who came over in the 1800's on one side and am a thrid gen. American on the other. My family history contains: Daniel Boone, underground railroad workers, segregation protesters and many people who have believed in doing good. Many of my family have died standing up for the rights themselves &/or others. (Sure there have been bad apples - I guess we can't all be perfect.)

We need to remember and learn from these things but not dwell on them. I did not participate in these things myself but I am well aware of them. I spend my energies trying to make the world a better place by being an advocate, setting an example, being kind to others, educating my children and promoting love and tolerance.

If I had your reparations I'd gladly give them to you. I hope I will be compensated for the wrongs done to me and my people someday by people not doing this sh**t to each other anymore.

I hope you find peace and maybe some forgiveness in your heart. DO NOT EVER FORGET. Just try to make the world a little better. We can all use a little healing.

  6. Why should I apologize to you for something I never did?  Why do I owe you anything?  I thought you wanted equality, not supremacy.

I'm not saying you should FORGET American history.  But do not continue to hold ME accountable for something I did not do.

  7. 1 - because slavery ended 143 years ago

2 - no one alive today was a slave

3 - no one alive today OWNED a slave

4 - "reparations" is another word for "gimme gimme gimme money"

5 - 600,000 whites died in the US Civil War which freed the slaves

6 - Blacks were already compensated for slavery (40 acres and a mule)

7 - there are more that enough programs around today which make up for slavery ("affirmative action", etc.)

8 - slavery is a natural part of the evolution of society, blacks in America are nothing special or unique when it comes to slavery

9 - You are living in the past.  Grow up.  Get a life.  You haven't done anything to earn reparations status.  Quit looking for free money, it ain't gonna happy.  People, like you, who have this victim mentality will never make anything of themselves.

  8. I never had a slave, and you never were a slave, so why should i pay **** and why should you recieve reparations???
