Why do women and girls talk so much on their cell hones? and who do they normally talk to?

it's like they have a competition to show who can talk the most on the phones.

I think it shows how afraid and insecure they are of being by themselves.

No they just like socializing with their friends... the time they really use it a lot.. with their bfs!

its not because were insecure its just nice to have someone to talk to.  if we want alone time usually we do it when other people arent there. it doesnt show they r insecure to be by themselves because if u can see them they obviously arent alone. we talk to friends and if we have them boyfriends

I hardly talk on my cell phone! I always hear stories of people having phone bills of 500 even 1000 dollars, but I don't understand why. The majority of conversations just revolve around gossip and who's dating who, and believe me, gossip and useless talking isn't worth my $1000. I'd rather use my home phone and even then I don't talk much. I'd rather have a conversation with someone in person and a good conversation at that, not just gossiping and talking about who got fat over the summer lol!

Do you talk to people because you're insecure and afraid of being yourself? No, you just talk because its fun.

Same with girls, we just like talking more than guys. Tis in our nature.

Girls talk to their friends on the phone. DuuUUUhhh.

they talk on it because they love to talk to their friends and talk about the latest styles and boys and hotttt guys and new things and mostly gossip. thats about it, i dont think there is any insecurities there.  they do it to have fun :P
