Why do women complain that a good man is hard to find?

Good men are everywhere. The real question is, "When will women grow up and start to appreciate good men?"

When a woman does find a good man, she mistreats him and takes him for granted.

Why is that?

  1. "Why do women complain that a good man is hard to find?"  Because it is true, not necessarily always, but generally so.

Women come ready-made for relationship, for the most part.  Men need to be educated into appreciating it.  Basically, the majority of men don't know how to treat a woman, and many don't appreciate them enough.  I have known a lot of men, and I have found them to be jerks--that is, the majority of them, not all.

This does not say, however, that a woman, even a good woman, knows what to do with a good man if and when she finds one.  Women have w weakness, which is a "trade-up" mentality, always looking for something better, which leads them to be unappreciative, after a while, even of a good man.

Now me, I'm cynical about marriage--it is a difficult undertaking.

  2. I had to kiss dozens of toads before I found my prince.

Everyone was a "good man" on paper.  All had similar characteristics.  Kind, generous, funny, outgoing, friendly, social, attractive in one way or another

After a certain perior of "comfort" time their true colors developed.

Alcoholism, abuse, cheating, jeleousy, drug use, gambling etc

I finally found a man that was stable enough to be himself from the beginning.  12 years later and I am still hopelessly in love and don't regret any of the toads because if it weren't for them being stepping stones in my life I'd have never met my hubby.

  3. And isn't the reverse true as well?

I had a close guy friend in college who dated total nut jobs.  Why couldn't he just find a nice, friendly, kind girl?  But he hated my roommate - she was too quiet and shy and too much of a nerd.  It took him 2 years but one day he called me and said "What do you think if I asked C on date?".  They've been married 10 years and have 2 kids.

  4. A lot of nice guys are pushovers unfortunately. I agree though, women seem to have a habit of picking guys who are wrong for them. Women outside of America generally appreciate decent guys more though.

The key is to be a gentlemen and be a challenge because if you let a woman walk over you, then how do you expect her to respect her?

  5. I have a good man, he was hard to find.  However you sound like your bitter and should stay away from any type of relationship til you mature a little.

  6. because good men end up being p-whipped fools.

  7. What they mean is: "A good man with a brand new BMW is hard to find."

  8. i'll speak for myself- CUZ I'M A d**n FOOL! no other reason, but that

  9. A good man is hard to find but a hard man is good to find!

  10. Why do women complain that a good man is hard to find?" Duh because it is obviously true, not always, and not in every case, but generally speaking, it's so true.  Most men need to be educated into appreciating everything a woman does for him.  The core of the problem being that the majority of men do not know how to treat a woman, much less appreciate them enough.  Not ALL men, but a lot of them are just jerks, creatures of habit.  They want you to cook and clean, but "forget" to say please and thank you, and eventually just take a lot of what a woman does for him for granted.  =P

  11. I agree.  A LOT of women are foolish and fall  for they same type of man over and over and over again. Not me though.

  12. Most girls want to find somebody who is “prefect” for them. Although they refuse to realize that

A.) Nobody is ever going to be perfect for them.

And B.) Once they get “perfect” they realize it’s not what they want.

It’s just about finding somebody who makes you happy, and makes you feel complete.

But don’t be so narrow, men say the same things. Men complain about not being able to find the right girl.

It’s just the way the world is. Most people want to find, “the one”.
