  1. it is water retention, eat less salt and  sugar and if you are drinking any coffee, tea or alcohol, give it up until the swelling subsides.

Prop your feet up, drink plenty of water and walk around as much as you can. You will also want to try gently squatting, but only enough so that your ankles get a lot of movement, watch your midsection! And follow the squatting with standing on your tiptoes.

I had the biggest sausage legs after my c-section, all that sitting around and not having any leg movement for 12 hours killed my circulation.

  2. It will go away on its own there really is nothing but rest and propping your feet up.

  3. I had that too. The doc told me just to have my feet up as much as possible to reduce swelling. It will eventually go away on its own. I had a c-section as well.

  4. My swelling went away on its own a couple of weeks after the baby was born.  I think the fluid just has to move itself out of the body.

  5. It could also be due to high blood pressure.  If your sure your BP is not high, then your prob just retaining water.  Adding lemon to your water helps.

  6. Ypu could be retaining water... I did the same thing. I took water pills to help it the doc prescribed it to me it worked great...
