Ever noticed that after marriage, women tend to gain weight and cut their hair? Why is that? Why do women lose their looks after getting married, and want to cut their hair?

  1. Why do men get fat and bald, and they don't even have to get married.?

  2. lol............even i wont touch this one.  talk about a hornets nest!!!

  3. well i didnt gain weight after getting married i gained weight after having kids. was a size 7 and now after 3 kids i am a 14. but me and my guy has been together since 01

  4. Why do guys get beer guts and lose their hair?

My sister didn't put on any weight after she got married.  It's been 4 years and she hasn't.  She has cut her hair numerous times.  It's her hair.  She can do what ever she wants with it.

  5. It takes work to keep the marriage going.  Shorter hair is less time consuming for many.  Why do MEN gain weight after marriage?

Its really an unfair generalization I think.

  6. maybe thats your women....LOL

not all women like that.. we all want to look HOT and s**y as can be..

Have you notice a lot of hot women out there...

  7. aside from the fact that having children makes you gain weight, and the fact that you do not have time to prepare yourself (ie makeup) before your mate sees you every day, try to look at the day to day lifestyle of a single woman dating, versus a married woman...

Single: Your life is your own, every choice, every activity, is entirely up to you. You tend to be more active, and when you date, you spend extra time getting ready, trying to impress the person you are seeing.

Married: Your life is shared, especially if you have children. Every decision you make is for "the family", every activity has to be okay-ed ahead of time (no spur-of-the-moment 3 mile runs, or short-notice nights out dancing with the girls)... You get up in the morning and he is there already, and has already seen you without your makeup and hair done, so you figure "well why worry about doing all that work today if I am not going out of the house"...

As for the hair, it is easier to take care of when it is shorter, and sadly convenience eventually does reign supreme. :(

It is the same reason that men gain weight after marriage, and also stop worrying about impressing their mate... It is not just something women do

  8. Funny... I gained the weight when we moved in together.  I dont think getting married will make a difference.

When you move in together you need to take into consideration that there will be a lot of things in the fridge women usually dont keep there (chips, steaks, certain pops).  Before he moved in, I could eat grilled chicken and veggies everyday.  Now you gotta vary the menu for the guy.

In terms of cutting the hair, he actually asked that I cut my hair after the wedding.  So I dont know, maybe men have something to do with that one.

  9. why do men go bald and get beer guts and lose their erections when they get married??

how do you like my question now???

  10. i have been married four years, one 6 month old. i weigh exactly the same as pre pregnancy and have been exactly the same weight since i was 18.

my hair is longer than it was when i got married and was at my shoulders then and is now past my b***s. This is obviously a generalisation.

  11. men tend to do the same thing. guess cause you get so comfortable with each other and you don't feel the need to impress anymore?

as for the weight gain, women it tends to be from having children. as for men, well if their wives are good cooks then there u go, he eats a lot of her delicious cooking, and if she's a horrible cook, then he's filling up on McDonald's, LOL.

  12. I guess some women get comfortable. I dont though I continue to try and look my best. Why do men always get fat after marriage? I guess both feel like they dont have to impress anyone anymore and plus with marriage comes family and thats a lot of work so you let yourself go to maintain other things better.

  13. I do notice this, and I'm really sick of women using their kids as an excuse. Who doesn't have 5 minutes to throw on some makeup in the morning, or quickly fix their hair? It doesn't have to be runway ready, but at least put in a little effort. Just because you're married it doesn't mean you're allowed to let yourself go. There's nothing that says your husband "has" to stay attracted to you no matter what you look like, just because you're married. Maybe in a fantasy world this would be the case. Then wives get mad when their husbands look at other women...what do you expect?

And women say they gain weight because there's "kids food" or "guys food" in the house like pop, chips etc. So, just because it's there it doesn't mean you have to eat it. Do you not have any self control? Buy healthy food and eat that instead. You shouldn't be feeding your kids c**p anyway.

All I ever hear from women is excuse after excuse, and no taking responsibility for themselves. All the women in my family are still thin and beautiful because they take care of themselves. One woman said there's no time for a spur of the moment run...well why not load up the stroller and take your baby with you on a run? Or take your kids to a playground and run around with them. If anything people who have kids should be thinner because they're supposedly so busy...there shouldn't be time to sit around and get fat.

  14. I cut my hair because he likes it better short and it cuts off a lot of time to deal with it.    I have only gained a few pounds, but it's because I cook real food for him every night instead of single people food.   (and he's gained weight too)

I think a lot of women get busy with jobs and taking care of children and their husbands, so they don't have the time to spend on their appearance they did when they were single.  My sister has been married six years, had 3 kids and she looks better than when she was single.
