Why do women gymnasts walk so weird between events?

They walk and swing their arms out, and stretch their hands and fingers out so weird. Why do they march like this?

How do they walk weird? I don't think they walk weird. I kinda enjoy watching them walk around. How can any guy not like that? If you mean the military arm swinging, I'm not sure why. Prolly more tradition than anything else.

im not sure why but its the way they are taught. you always have to walk with pointed toes, no heel to toe walk. you would also notice they have to walk this way onto the floor

I know!  And why does it seem that the in these 2008 Olympics, the US women are the only ones who are walking in such a funny (and cute) way?

A guest to judges to tell them that they are ready to perform, also greets them and the audience, I believe so at lest, as I did a bit of gymnastics before but never reach the lvl to really use it......

LOL LMAO honestly, I was thinking the saaaaaame thing!

They look like their in the army or something. I guess they can't help it, they want to make a good impression to the judges or something like that.

it's just a custom. called "marching"
