Why do women like cats so much?

They are similar to babies in behavior and we were made to have babies.

Cats are a boon to those of us we do not have babies for whatever reason.

Cats are fun they do the nuttist stuff they make people laungth all people not just women I know severl men that just love cats, the thing they like the best is they don't need to take them out on a cold winter day or nights and they purr this is very soothing to many cats owners

Cats are more independent and take little care.  As long as you have food, water and a litter box out for them, they are good to go.  Dogs on the other hand need much more attention.  If I wanted to devote THAT much attention to another living creature, I'd get a man.

Cats don't leave the toilet seat up or hair in the bathroom sink.

Cats don't leave their dirty socks all over the house.

Cats don't go out drinking with their buddies all night and then come home for some action.

Like other people says who says every woman likes cats?

May be it's a good thing that cats are not so clingy, demanding, comes to l**k your face off and to be walked so often.

They only really need a lot of attention when they are kittens. But they are very independent and can be very affectionate to the ones who treats them well.

I think that it's more of being akin to feline behavior. Cats are very "sexual" beings...it's weird but it's true. It's the reason there's no "Catman" superhero...

More women tend to own cats, maybe because to love a cat is to love something more than yourself and expect nothing in return, i  personally have no preference over a cat or dog, i love them both

Umm, I don't like cats!  They are very soft and furry, yes, they are sometimes funny to watch, but dogs are so much better.  So, I wouldn't say that all women are cat lovers.

Really??   my 3 cats are always guarding the house and checking on me during the day....and all night long,,,,

one out front, one out back, one in the house and they rotate guard duty.....

they come out when it is important...

years ago my cat attacked an intruder, jumped down from hiding and 20 claws took care of the guys head....

I like cats because they are no trouble.

They can be left alone, eat on their own I don't have to pick up poo.  

They don't claw me or knock me over.  They aren't loud...

They mind thier own business.

Guard my house... yes ... I can tell the minute that someone is walking up my stairs... the cats all stare at the window...

My CATS are trained to come to thier name... (not kitty kitty)

I can leave them home alone for (14 day last year) and 4 days without any one to take care of them!   ALL GOOD!

Hiding all day is ok because I am at work... but when I am working in the yard they are right by me.

I love dogs but have no time for them (high maintenance)

my cats take care of themselves (low maintenace)

that's wrong my cats don't hide all day ,they would only do that if you were hurting them,i like cats cause i hate dogs.
