Not all women love shopping.

I like clothes but I hate going out and shopping for them. It's boring, tedious and quite annoying. I especially hate the malls.

I hate dealing with pushy people and their ill-mannered children and I hate spending my money on ridiculously priced clothes that I could get for half the price at Target or Sears.

It's an extension of our prehistoric role as gatherers.  it's why men don't like shopping, because they were primarily hunters.  their role was to go out, track down an animal and kill it single-mindedly.  women on the other hand would be foraging around, searching for roots, nuts, berries, molluscs etc, which naturally leads to the female habit of browsing around shops.

My husband always wants to know before we go out where we are going and exactly what we are going to buy.  I just like to drift around looking at things and see if there's anything I want.  it drives him mad.  "Men are buyers, women are shoppers" he says.

To prove my point family Family Haz were in York last year when we chanced upon a shop selling everything for cats. I kid you not. Daughter and I made excited squeaking noises whilst perusing whilst husband an son look ed like a pair of bloodhounds hovering by the entrance.

Then spent the next 15 mins having a debate with other half over 'c**p' shops that appeal to 'stupid' women.

What happened next?

Well we chanced upon a replica sword and armour shop. hmmm....'c**p' shop that appeals to 'stupid' men.

I wish to assure any women reading this I made my point loudly, clearly and over a two hour period.

Not all do, I don't buy many clothes but I love buying interesting things, ornaments etc. I am more of an ebay addict though!
