Why do women say they want a sensitive man only to date/marry an insensitive one?

Women hate weak (sensitive) men but always say they want one. Strange...what are your thoughts.

Its funny. A bloke I went out with was sensitive and sweet and I fell madly in love with him.  Turns out it was all a charade.  He had me completely fooled.  More fool me I guess.  Women dont HATE sensitive men, wish you blokes would stop with the generalisations.  I'd love to meet a genuine bloke in touch with his feelings.

I don't know for sure, but I have always heard that the women who do tend to date the "insensitive" ones, or the JERKS, are women who have self-esteem issues, who do not believe that they are worthy of a sensitive man who respects them.  Unfortunately, I've been there and done that more times than I can count.

Tooo many name tags & stereotyping in this to give a particularly genuine answer, but the confusion is in knowing the difference between being dominant and being domineering.... or between being assertive and aggressive.

I believe women respect a man who is in control of himself FIRST.

People's tastes change once they experience things.

I admit I used to say this as I was younger, but after dating one..I realized it wasn't my thing.

That's the whole point of dating though, right? To find out what you really like.

depends. if you get a good guy ur one lucky m**o. its like a woman loves a challenge. that may include tryign to change a man because "if he loves me h**l change" its the challenge to tame and train the guy. most of the time though, the guy tames and trains the girl because she loves him and conforms. its g*y, but girls love bad boys. i went through this little phase where i loved gangsters. im 20 now n i have abias against them because well theyre lame haha! a challenge for me now would be someone i can persuade to thing my way after a very controverisl argument:)

Who cares what women do or say.....what matters is what YOU do. This is the essence of having self-control and having high self-esteem.

A woman may say she wants a nice guy and then goes out with a jerk.  A woman may say money doesnt matter, yet she will date a rich man. A woman who acts like this is not worthy of your time because she lacks character.

A man with high self-esteem and confidence woudn't date a woman who lacks character, namely, who says one thing and does another.

Here is the golden rule: "Behavior speaks a 1,000 words."

Always respect a woman, treat her well, never lie to her, be honest in your intentions----however, expect the same in return.

A man can be sensitive but at the same time he can be strong (mentally) or make a woman feel they are protected. I personally dont think there should be a seporation there. I rather have someone sensitive to my needs (as I would to theirs) and wouldn't see them as weak because of it.  

Every man has an insensitivity, but I think in a relationship when the real caring person comes out, then the woman sees them as sensitive, even if others don't.

Instead of thinking what women think, and thereby giving their shallow judgements too much importance, try to guess like a chess player. Try to second guess. Is she the kind who likes jerks? Is she the kind that likes sensitive men?

Then do anything to see and penetrate her v****a. Once you have used her, you just trash her and move on to the next victim.
