  1. They are stupid, sad, depressed, have low self-esteem.

  2. Because they don't want to get hurt anymore. so if they think if they will say sorry they may stop abusing.

  3. Because they are hoping he has REALLY seen the error of his ways and is changing, and ALL due to their TLC!

Instead of using their heads and common sense, they worry about being alone, or giving up that toad who will one day become prince charming.

Too much fantasizing and romantasizing instead of dealing with reality in a common sense way.

  4. They are afraid to leave because they think they're tormenter will find them and do worse than just abuse

  5. Cause' they once loved the person who abused them.

Can you really turn in someone you love?

Also you don't want to get in to court.

You don't want to s***w up your kids life, especially if the man is the money maker.

You think the person feels awful for hurting you and you don't want to make him fell any worse.

  6. They are afraid to leave the jerk.  They probably have no skills to support themselves on.  That is exactly why women should put their education above all else and make sure they can make a decent wage.  If they have to leave an idiot like this, they can.

  7. Not all women think that!  Maybe they just want to think they are loved.

  8. because they just want to forget. why make the memory last longer than it has to.

  9. So many abused women and men (yes there are men who are abused too) think it is all their fault. They get really low self esteem and no confidence in their self. They are either abused physical or emotionally or both. When the black eye shows up or a broken bone they make excuses such as I fell down the steps, ran into a door facing and on and on. They are told at the time of abuse they would be killed if they told anyone. It is a very sad situation. Often times when police are involved they don't do anything about it until it is to late. The person who is abused should just leave, take the kids if they have any and go to a shelter and into hiding. Don't stay!!!!

  10. I was in an abusive relationship for a year, and its a cycle.

There's the build up of frustration, then the actual violence, and then the "honeymoon" stage where the man is nice and acts like he's genuinely sorry.

And you believe it, at first.

And then it gets to the point where you're too afraid to tell anyone, because you fear for your life.

The only time I tried to tell someone my head was smashed into a counter and I had a concussion.

Then you start thinking that no one would believe you, and that its your fault anyways, and you think that you're not good enough so you just want to please the guy so he'll stop hurting you, but it never works.

  11. when you are being beaten you will say anything to make the person stop, trust me on this.

  12. because they need the attention of the man, that is what they are used to.  a life with the abuser is less frightening than a life without him to them.  its sick, isnt it!
