Why do women want equality only when it suits them?

For the last 30 - 40 years most women in America have demanded for the right to be paid like men and promoted like men. Yet they seem to only support equality when it is good for them. For one issues both genders can vote, run for president, and join the military but only men are required by law to sign up for selective service and put their life in risk to protect their country. Women claim they are mentally as strong as men. Yet are more willing to justify a woman slapping or hitting a man than vice versa on the grounds that women get more emotional than men. The same could be said about crime. Alot of them try to play the victim card that they were taken advantage off if they engage in a violent crime with a male(s) (rape, murder, drug trafficking) to get a lighter sentence or avoid the death penalty if its capital murder.

In almost all job situations, women have the potential and ability to do any job as well as or better than men.  So, those women who perform at the same level as a man should be compensated at the same rate.

In today's modern society, I know of no job which requires physical strength above and beyond the strength of an adult woman.  Modern machinery has obviated the need for exceptional physical strength.

As a matter of fact, if a job requires exceptional strength, we will tend to delay the job until we find a mechanized solution.

I agree that there is currently an inequity in combat service.  However, I believe that this mandate will be eliminated within the next few decades.  If we must go to war, women should participate at the same level as men, even in combat.

I agree with you. I do think women should be equal to men, but on all levels, not just when they want to be.

Wow, you sound really childish venting like that... no woman can actually fight in combat. A woman needs to be alive torecreate the losses which occur during war so women are extremely rarely drafted. Also, a woman, unless armed with a weapon, really can't hurt a man so harshly like a man can armed with his hands. A woman cant rape a man eaither. Women fight for equality in the work force as women are often undermimed and payed only 75% of what a man gets annualy. We understand that physically, men and women are different, but hope to close the mental barrier. Thats all
