Why do yahoo vote for a best answer when i know the answer given is totall junk.?

If you know the answers, why do you bother asking? Also, if you don't like any of the answers you can let it go to a community vote. This is an open Internet Q and A forum. You are going to get all kinds of answers, some good some not so good, and many way off the mark. This is the nature of the Internet.

Whilst there is a lot of tongue in cheek stuff on Y.A. like in jokes and riddles and polls and surveys, I think I can say that otherwise everyone is assumed to be fairly genuine. Genuine people asking genuine questions for which they are SEEKING AN ANSWER.

Most people will supply an answer as close to what they think is a response to a question as they can give. It might not be correct for many reasons, one of which could be that the question is not worded very well.

I might be a bit naive here,but, if you know the answer to a question,why would you want to waste your time putting it on,and other peoples time searching for an answer ???

If YOU don`t choose a best answer then it`s thrown open to other yahoo users - THEY choose whichever answer THEY like - best answers are not chosen by yahoo and in many cases are also incorrect.

One time I had the only correct answer but an incorrect one was chosen as best answer by the asker.
