I just don't see any way that they actually sell all the tickets that they buy up.

  1. They usually buy tickets in hopes that

    A.  The show will sell out and unprepared, ticketless people will pay any price to get tickets; or

    B.  Someone will want to get tickets for themselves or a friend without having to stand in line.

I've actually been to some football games with several people who bought tickets from scalpers because they didn't want to stand in line.

  2. They buy tickets from other scalpers, and sell them to other people who really want to attend the event for even more. For instance, suppose they bought a Hannah Montana concert ticket for $200. Then they scalp and resell that same ticket to another person that same night for $800. That is how they run their illegal business.

  3. well there are some idiotic ppl in the world!
