  1. as it is written.. see Gospel of John

  2. I believe in god because too many "coincidences" have happend for me not to believe that there is one.

"ask and it will be given to you; seek and you will find; knock and the door will be opened to you"

    matthews 7:7

God tells us to seek first the kingdom of god and everything else will follow. God is not just a gut feeling you have, to be quite blunt you are not supposed to rely on your senses and feelings at all. That is why faith is so important. Jesus said blessed is he who has not seen and believes. That is not to say that you won't experience some emotion or some random prophetic weird experience when you first come to christ.

There is a difference between being religious and being spiritual. Being religious is going to church and being spiritual is something like prayer. It isn't about following rules or fairy tales. Granted some things are hard to believe but god wants us to test his word. To  apply it to life!It is very important to have a relationship with god through prayer because he always answers.

    Times he has answered me:

I was questioning my salvation, meaning i doubted that i was saved. That very next day at church the sermon was about salvation. I went home and turned on the tv and it was talking about savlation. I turned to the freaking bill cosby show and guess what the choir was singing about? SALVATION.

I had a racist thought come into my head one day and it caught me completely off guard since i didn't consider myself racist but I prayed to the lord to change that about me. And that very day I watched "touched by an angel" and it was talking about racism and the effects of racism. I flipped to channel 21 and it was talking about how to bridge the gaps through racism in the church. Then finally i went on facebook daily devotionals

"there is neither jew nor greek, slave nor free, male nor female, for all of you are one in christ jesus"

I now use this word if any other racist thought comes into my head. That is why the bible is so important; we need those truths to fight our ways of thinking in this world.

this would be different if i found it a week later and sometimes that will happen but god probably knew that i was a skeptic and he knew how to reach me. This may seem like nothing to you and i probably gave more material for the atheist to laugh at.

But someone once told me that it takes more faith to think that the world just came into existance then for there to be a creator. IT is like saying a big bang happend in the printing shop, with nobody around to cause that bang and all of the sudden a million of bibles were printed out with no error.

If your really want to know if god really exists, then pray to him. Ask god for forgiveness and ask him small questions. Do your part to seek him and he will reveal himself to you if you search with all your heart. Praying takes faith in itself and no matter how small your faith is, he is always faithful and will always answer

  3.    We are only human.  Deep down you already know becouse ther is no other explanation.  Take interest in the people who seem happy, content, friendly, or just motivated about life--they KNOW.  you are unhappy right now, otherwise you might not be in question?

  4. God is a word, an unspoken word.

God is the word which pronounces itself.

    God is spoken and unspoken.

    God is not naught.

    God was before naught.

God has no before and no after: naught has a sequel, its sequel is aught.

God is not being nor yet goodness.

There is no knowing what God is.

Something we do know, namely, what God is not.

In God is no good nor better nor best.

All God wants of you is for you to go out of yourself in respect of your creatureliness and let God be God in you.

Man's best chance of finding God is where he left God.

As it was with you when you last had God, so let it be now while you have lost God, then you will find God.

Man should not be afraid of God.

    Meister Eckhart

    God love you!

  5. I started beleiving in God when I was 3 years old.My mother showed me the world and said God made this because he loves us.I look at the facts as an adult just as you do and I see God everywhere in everything. In a cat,in a child ,in a rose.If you read the Bible  and study it in an undertone day and night as the bible says it becomes clear that their is a very clear purpose for everything even human suffering. All good things come from God.All evil things are of Satan. I have a hard time seeing how any one can look at a baby and say there is no God.God must be really insulted .

  6. He changed my life.

Try reading the Bible, New Testament first.

    John 3:16

  7. This is why I believe all children should be raised without exposure to religious teachings, until they are old enough to figure things out objectively.

I bet you the churches would die if religion was rated R16.

  8. Jesus--is the simple answer.

You look at what he did and what he taught, and you will see a lot of truth.

But, he also claimed to be God.  People that claim to be God are usually crazy or trying to get money off of people.

Jesus did neither.  It is really unusual for someone to have these great teachings, and a great following, and claim to be something really well blasphemous (which is why he was crucified)

Of course, it is possible that he was who he said he was, isn't it.

You may have reached a conclusion logically, and with what you thought were all the facts--but, could you be wrong?  Is there the slightest chance you could have made a mistake?  What would it mean if you did?

I know I'm right when I say Jesus is the Son of God.  I know it in my heart and in my soul.

  9. The RIGHT REASON

    for Believing

THE Korean book 31 Reasons Why Young People Leave the Church asserts that many stop going to church because they cannot find satisfying answers to their questions. For instance, they ask, 'Why do people who believe in God suffer?' and 'Why must we accept everything that the churches teach when many of the teachings are confusing and contradictory?'

Disappointed by the answers given by their clergy, many conclude that there is no answer in the Bible. When a clergyman gives an explanation that is based solely on his personal opinion, the result is often a misunderstanding, even a rejection, of God and the Bible.

That was the experience of Abel, who was brought up as a Lutheran in South Africa. He recalls: "The church teaches that everyone who dies is 'taken' by God. But I could not understand why a God of love would 'take' parents from their children. In rural Africa where I grew up, we would not slaughter a hen until the chicks were grown. If we found that a cow was pregnant, we delayed slaughtering it until the calf was born and weaned. I could not understand why a loving God did not show the same consideration for humans."

Aram, a Canadian, had similar doubts. "When I was 13 years old, my father died," he relates. "In the funeral service, a leading clergyman explained that God wanted my father to die so that he could get closer to God in heaven. 'God takes good people away,' he said, 'because God loves the righteous ones.' I did not understand how God could be so selfish."

Eventually, both Abel and Aram came in contact with Jehovah's Witnesses, studied the Bible with them and, at last, found the answers to their questions. They developed love for God and a strong faith in him. Finally, they dedicated their life to Jehovah and became loyal servants of his.

    Troubling Questions That Needed Answers

"While being trained in the hospital as a medical student, I saw good people groaning in pain because of diseases and disasters. If there is a God, why do these things happen? Is religion just a means to gain peace of mind?"—A former Presbyterian in Korea.

"I often wondered whether my father, an alcoholic, had gone to h**l or to heaven. I was terrified by the dead and by the idea of hellfire. I could not understand how a loving God could send someone to suffer eternally in h**l."—A former Catholic in Brazil.

"What does the future hold for the earth and for mankind? How would mankind be able to live forever? How is mankind to attain true peace?"—A former Catholic in Germany.

"The teaching of reincarnation did not make sense to me. Animals do not worship, so if for some reason you are reincarnated into an animal to pay for your sins, how do you rectify matters and progress from that state?"—A former Hindu in South Africa.

"I grew up in a Confucian family, and I used to participate in the ceremony for the repose of our ancestors. As I took part in setting the sacrificial table and bowing down, I wondered if the dead ancestors came to eat the food and to see our bowing down to them."—A former Confucianist in Korea.

All these individuals found answers to their questions when they studied the Bible with Jehovah's Witnesses.

  10. What you were raised in, is false.  Catholicism is false.

The truth is that Jesus is God, and He loves you so very much, and He wants to have a personal relationship with you  :)  He doesn't want some "church" getting in the way.

The truth is that the only way to be saved and to get into heaven and avoid being sent to eternal h**l is by believing in faith alone that Jesus, who is God, died for our sins on the cross and rose from the dead (1 Corinthians 15:1-4). Believe this and you are saved!

Please pray now: "Jesus, please forgive me of my sins. I believe that You died on the cross for my sins and You rose from the dead. Thank You for eternal life!" You will be in heaven with Him forever when you die :)

  11. I believed in god because i was sucked into believing in him

its like a drug, i can't get out of it

  12. I believe because He lives within my heart.

  13. That's to bad, I see your from the UK is this a reason for what you believe. I've been told that many in Europe feel this way.

The world is filled with hungry souls who famish in the very presence of the bread of life; men die searching for the very God who lives within them. Men seek for the treasures of the kingdom with yearning hearts and weary feet when they are all within the immediate grasp of living faith. Faith is to religion what sails are to a ship; it is an addition of power, not an added burden of life. There is but one struggle for those who enter the kingdom, and that is to fight the good fight of faith. The believer has only one battle, and that is against doubt--unbelief.

In so far as your evolving soul becomes permeated by truth, beauty, and goodness as the value-realization of God-consciousness, such a resultant person becomes indestructible. If there is no survival of eternal values in your evolving soul , then your existence is without meaning, and life itself is a tragic illusion. But it is forever true: What you begin in time you will assuredly finish in eternity--if it is worth finishing.

  14. It just feels right for me.

I don't think you can do logic on things like that, it is a feeling. If you don't have it, you don't have it. If you do, you do.
