  1. I am a human.  Framing things in anthropomorphic terms makes sense to me.  I find it pleasing to do so, even though I know that many of the characterizations I make of this nature are largely in my mind.

Whether you call something 'love', 'the blessing of Aphrodite', 'the essence of oneness with the god/universe', or even 'a conditioned biochemical response' is really only relevant in the context of communicating ideas to other people.  All you need to be able to do is translate and you are free to use whatever term you wish.

    Peace.

  2. No. I am a freethinker. Those that 'believe' in a 'deity' are getting hustled by cons. Look up: WAFWOT

  3. Having studied Cosmology for years, I have seen no reason to accept the existence of magic in any form anywhere in the Universe.

  4. I watch my children.  That is enough to believe.

  5. I don't believe in god because there isn't a shred of verifiable evidence for its existence and the god most people describe seems like a sadistic trickster that isn't worth believing in anyway.

  6. Well first of all look around 6 Billion People on just this planet - a tiny speck in creation. Creation is infinite from the smallest to the largest.  Something "God" in my opinion runs the work, creating, maintaining and re-creating.

Check out quantum physics and relativity.  I think the difficulty is that some people don't accept HOW the creator did things or the Creators concept of time.

Image how all this could possibly be an accident.

  7. To believe in good is more fun than not believing in him. Just think if there wasn't a god what would you do on Sunday morning? Where would we wear our new suit to? What will happen to our wife's mink coat for which she had to fight with you so many times? How would you sale insurance policies? Where would you meet so many nice ladies in one place? I believe in god for these reasons. You may have your own reasons after all it's a free country ( though churches, temples, mosques are not free unfortunately)

  8. I believe in God by faith not by sight.

I cannot prove God's existence nor does God ask me to prove Him.

I find it hard to believe I exist by incidental happenstance.

  9. i believe in god because i dont need a physical proof that he is real. he is in my heart and he is the creator of every soul in this worl and in other worlds whether or not one belives or does not believe in him.

  10. I don't believe in anything, not just God.

But in regard to God, there is just no evidence of the existence of God.  No proofs of God's existence.  No observational evidence.  No logical reason that God exists.  And, fortunately, I live in a time and place that I don't have to pretend that I believe in nonsense.

  11. If I dare to think on my own, and use every bit of my own ability to know something. No god is what I come up with every time.

    you?

  12. 1.  First you must have an open mind to hear truth, and to see truth, no matter how truth looks on the outside. You are looking for  truth.

#2.  When you really want to know who God is then you have to do some research.

I would like to begin with Genesis 1:1

In the beginning God created the heaven and the earth.

I realized that God was first and God is a spirit.  St. John 4:24 God is a spirit: and they that worship him must worship him in spirit and in truth.

To serve God, I must be true with him.  I have found him to be true with me.  God talks to me and I talk to him.  This is how I know he is real.

#3.  What should I call God?

So many people have so many names for God.  It cannot be that hard to come to an agreement to what the name of God is.  Though people in the bible call him many names he only has ONE name.  Many people may call us many names, but we have ONE name that was given to us when we were born.  I wanted to know what was God's name.

In the 10 commandments Moses went to the mountain, and Moses talked to the One and Only True God.  Although he told Moses I am that I am.  That does not reallly break down his name.  I can say that myself, "I AM THAT I AM."  The One and Only True God told Moses I am going to tell you what to say and you tell your brother Aaron,  then let Aaron talk for you.  This is the name of the God they used when Moses, and Aaron went to talk with Pharaoh.

Exodus 5:1 And afterward Moses and Aaron went in and told Pharaoh, Thus saith THE LORD GOD OF ISRAEL, Let my people go, that they may hold a feast unto me in the wilderness.

In this verse, Moses and Aaron is making the One and Only True God known.   He is the God of Israel, and the God of Israel said "let my people go."

Most of us have read or heard this verse:  "If my people which are called by my name......"   (II chronicles 7:14)  If his people is called by his name, then it is not hard to understand.

It is like a man that marries a woman, and they have a child.  The child will wear the Father's last name.  If it is a boy, it is a good chance that the Father will want the boy to have the same name as him, making the boy a junior.

If we can understand that, why can't we understand about God's people, and God's name?  I know people that say they know the bible of all different practices of faith.  When I tell them what I believe and why, the first thing they may say is....Can you prove it?    I have always been able to prove it, but they were unable to prove theirs.

#4 The Hebrew Israelites, Mostly everyone can agree that they are God's chosen people.  I am not talking about the natural Jew, I am talking about the spiritual Jew.  According to the scripture, He, the One and Only True God, has not forsaken his people.  People say that the God of Israel has done away with Israel.

Romans 11:1-2 I say then, Hath God cast away his people? God forbid.  For I also am an Israelite, of the seed of Abraham, of the tribe of Benjamin.  God hath not cast away his people which he foreknew.  Wot ye not what the scripture saith of Elias? how he maketh intercession to God against Israel, saying,

Above the scripture says the God of Israel has not done away with his people Israel.  I want to remind you again, I am not talking about natural Jews.  I am talking about spiritual Jews, that I believe everyone in this world is.  According to what has been said in the book of Revelation, John saw one hundred and forty four thousand.  Although they had different nationalities, different colors, different languages, they all were ISRAEL.  Coming back to their father the Lord God of Israel.

Revelation 7:3-4 Saying, Hurt not the earth, neither the sea, nor the trees, till we have sealed the servants of our God in their foreheads.  And I heard the number of them which were sealed: and there were sealed an hundred and forty and four thousand of all the tribes of the children of Israel.

John looked again and he saw more people, there were so many he couldn't count them all.

Different tribes, mean different countries.  Their natural origin did not matter, it was what was INSIDE them that made them SPIRITUAL JEWS.  They all are going to be able to come together to serve ONE GOD, who is the Father of us all, who is IN us all, and he is the GOD OF ISRAEL.    We all are going to learn to wear his name and not be divided anymore.

Revelation 21:12 And had a wall great and high, and had twelve gates, and at the gates twelve angels, and names written thereon, which are the names of the twelve tribes of the children of Israel:

If you are going to represent this gate and this wall and the twelve tribes of the children of Israel, then we all are going to wear the same name,  ISRAEL or you will not be able to get in.  We will serve the God of Israel.  He is my God, and he is everyone else's God too.  People are just unaware of who he is, which is bad.

Isaiah 45:3-5 And I will give thee the treasures of darkness, and hidden riches of secret places, that thou mayest know that I, the Lord, which call thee by thy name, am the God of Israel.  For Jacob my servant's sake, and Israel mine elect, I have even called thee by thy name: I have surnamed thee, though thou hast not known me.  I am the Lord and there is none else, there is no God beside me: I girded thee, though thou hast not known me:

There was a time when I didn't know him either.  But now I know who he is.  He has done so much for me in my life.  I am 53 years old and I feel and look like a young man, this is what the God of Israel says he will do if we will serve him.  He will cease the aging process on your body.  I know that my belief is to be true, because I have eaten deadly poison and it didn't kill me.  I am still here.  I would put my health and the way I look and feel against anyone, anywhere my age. Then I will see if they can keep up or do the things that I do.

The God of Israel wants everyone to know his name.

I Chronicles 17:24 Let it even be established, that thy name may be magnified for ever, saying, the Lord of hosts is the God of Israel, even a God to Israel: and let the house of David thy servant be established before thee.

Anytime I hold up for the God of Israel in his name, I have never been confounded.  The God of Israel has always given me words to represent his name.  As I said I have talked with many people with different beliefs and faiths, NONE, have been able to prove me wrong.  I will stand up on the mountain top and tell the whole world that there is NO GOD IN ALL THE EARTH, BUT THE GOD OF ISRAEL.  It is time for us to return back to him, serve him. Learn his ways and his commandments.

This is how I know that my belief is the truth and nothing but the truth.  This is why I believe in the God of Israel and that everyone in this world are the children of Israel.

  13. i do not believe in God, because it would be better to not to believe that this god exists when i see suffering, feel suffering, millions die, i mean am i just here to believe that if there is a god he would go murdering people because he is just almighty or that he is just a vain god he would like me to go to church every sunday and testify of what i think he should be.but i dont care if others believe just dont let them force me to think the way they think.

  14. I most certainly believe in God. And yes, I DO have a mind of my own, yes I DO think for myself. I CHOSE to be a Christian, I wasn't dragged to church and forced read the Bible. So, for any people that say Christians are idiots who just believe what people tell them, you are so very wrong.

And I believe in God because, personally, nothing else really makes sense. Sure, the thought of God creating the world and overseeing everything..everywhere..ever seems a bit bizarre but I find it quite comforting. Knowing that God personally put thought into my existence is a lot better than thinking "eh...we just kind of happened...like an accident really..."

  15. Agnostic

    I don't know and I don't care

  16. I'm on my way to believing.  I'm doing a science major in college and science just seems to make more sense.  God couldn't have appeared out of nowhere could he?  And science pretty much has physical evidence of millions of years of evolution what with all the time periods (Pre-Cambrian, etc.) and the Bible says it was created over 7 days.  But now I'm learning that most people don't take the Bible literally.  And I guess nothing can't explode from nothing (Big Bang).  So, I'm kind of on the border =\

  17. I believe in a Creator.  The reason is, because it just makes more sense to me than any other explanation for what we see.  No other theory I have ever heard seems more valid.  I believe it is natural to assume there is a power, an intelligence at the point of origin.  Those who chose otherwise seem to do so for reasons other than the quest for truth such as an excuse for selfishness.

  18. I believe in God. All I have to do is look around me. Everything is made perfectly!

  19. I believe.  Not because of empirical evidence, because there isn't any, but more of a feeling.  Not very rational, I know. There are some great ontological arguments for the existence of God that I subscribe to, but it is an overall feeling that makes me believe. I still doubt constantly, though. I think faith should be a struggle; it makes you appreciate it more.  Doubting also makes you realize that our understanding of faith is fallible, and maybe it's best not to be so arrogant in our assertions about faith.
