Why do you creatures hide?

I know this isn't a question but I just want to make a shout out to all creatures reading this. Why do you guys hide? When will you see that your top of the food chain? Why can't you just take over our petty human world and make it yours? Kill off our kind and rule your own world with out having to hide. Makes sense dose it not?

If I killed you all then where would my next meal come from?  Seriously, I keep you around so I can nosh - just like you keep cows and pigs around.  Except, obviously, I prefer free-range humans.

Well, answering it like a question, I would have to disagree.

There really isn't much point to have you around. Being a vampire, I could get my blood from other vamps, or animals I suppose. Humans also do tend to pose more of a threat than an ally.

But, to shorten the answer, it would be so LONELY! Vampires are temperamental people, and a world filled only with them would be so chaotic. It's nice having humans around. They give you quite a bit of good company, as long as they don't know what you are.

Also, I doubt we have the numbers or means of doing this. Naturally we probably could take out a few meekly armed villages, but unless we resorted to a fire fight, which we would lose anyway, the military would get wind of it and blow us away.

I think we'd best learn to live alongside humans, rather than killing them off, or vica-versa. It's quite a bit friendlier of a world.

Think of it this way why does the government hide things? The answer is when things are hidden they are more deadly than if everyone in the world knew and hunted these "creatures" down to kill or study them
