    I just sometimes have to pretend to keep some people happy.

  3. because i do and has been told by my religion to fast! obviously there r greater rewards for fastin and much health benefits in this world

  4. It is the fourth pillar of Islam

    It gives us a chance to think of the less fortunate, poor people.

    It teaches us the virtue of patience, hdevelops high moral sense as while fasting we're not supposed to curse or hurt any one any possible way. It makes us stronger in fighting lust and temptations.

  6. My dear brother salam for you We muslims should fast during ramadan because :

    1)In the Qur'an surah 2 Al Baqarah verse 183 Allah instructed us  who have faith (iman)to do fasting or saum  as have been instructed too to humans before Islam in order to make us more taqwa (devotion)

    2)During ramadan since shubuh upto maghrib time for more than 12 hours we can not make sexual relation, eat and drink any food and drink and we should avoid bad doing so we could manage well our lusts and desires

    3)By fasting our digestion will have enough time for resting so we will be healthier during ramadan and we can maintain or loss our weight as you like by regulating our own menu for breaking fast

    4)By fasting as obligation and needs we will more closed to Allah the only one God and we will have more love from Allah

    5)By fasting and more ibadahs (good doings) during ramadan on the day and night we will have more rewards from Allah and our mistakes and wrong doings will  be forgiven  by Allah

    6)By fasting during ramadan our effort or good doings will be blessed by Allah and satans could tempt us so we will be the winner and sinless after the end of ramadan

    7)By fasting during ramadan we will have more social feeling for loving and helping the poor persons

    8)By the training during ramadan we can continue to apply the good practices in the future months after ramadan

    i fast to please Allah... to get a taste of what the poor feel like.  The chief virtue of fasting is for charity towards the poor.  :)

  8. to know what poor people feel like and to remember Allah (SWT) and be aware of our actions...

    we are just fasting for the sake of Allah. We dont just abstain from food, we abstain from all sins, including lying, swearing, intercourse (not a sin with your spouse, but you cant do it until its time to break fast)...along with other things

  9. To be more in touch with Allah(swt)  and to control the nafs.To become more spiritually aware and to understand/thank the blessings Allah(swt) has provided me with.
