Why do you feel like this when you go into shock?

Today I passed out and my body went into shock..heres my symptoms; i was hot; in the sun, stiff...i couldn't move my body and it felt numb..i started hyperventalating, now my mom is a Registered Nurse and she said I was dehydrated and went into shock. Please tel me why my body was numb

  1. i agree   if you really went into shock you would be a whole lot sicker than you are now


  2. The reason your body was numb was that all the blood was going to your major organs to keep you alive.  Your heart, brain, lungs, etc.

    you didn't go into shock, you fainted. you likely got a little dehydrated from being in the sun and not drinking enough water, then something happened to trigger a fainting episode, it sounds like you might have had an episode of hyperventilation. dehydration can drop your blood pressure, fainting does drop your blood pressure. hyperventilation is notorious for causing numbness/tingling and weakness. you probably had low blood pressure for a few minutes,but you weren't in shock.
