Why do you feel like you have butterflies in your stomach?

Ok, so everyone gets "butterflies" around their crush or when they're really nervous...but i wanna know why!? What is the scientific and biological explanation for the butterfly feeling?

What an interesting question.  Now it's true; you can say that it's explained by the scientific effect of the sign of love... but really, what's scientific about love?  How can one explain the undying love that they feel for their offspring?  Is that scientific?  The butterflies-in-your-stomache-feeling is a sign that something does exist:  God.
