why do you feel sick with kidney stones? when there is no pain present though!

  1. Normally nausea is only present when the stone is moving and causing pain. However if the stone is obstructing the ureter and causing hydronephrosis and kidney damage, the patient would also feel very unwell, this scenario would require fairly rapid medical intervention.


  2. As a Chronic Pain sufferer I have found that some days I don't feel pain as such.  I just feel a little off colour, perhaps a little intemperate too.

    Following recommendation by a specialist I tried taking a painkiller at those times.  I have found that my mood stabilises and the 'pressure' I might have felt,  lifts.

    If you hurt say ... a finger. It doesn't hurt all the time, yet the pain IS still there if you think about it.

  3. I would think so. You would suffer pain. I think I read somewhere that you can get a pain under th shoulder blade.

    Why not look up 'kidney stones' on the net. It would be more specific.
