I agree with you on many of the codes like Rugby League and sorry folks but soccer too (Yawn!!) but I am devastated if you are referring to Australian Rules.  It is far from being rubbish.  Look at all the skills required and the great fitness of the players.  Not like codes where they are always standing around looking stupid whilst a decision is being made whether it was a try or not or a goal whatever.  Best way to judge whether a sport is exciting or not is to look at the crows that attend and AFL is not short of spectators of all ages and persuasions.  And I follow it because it is spell binding and for the history attached to teams (especially my team).  And another thing the players don't wear body protectors like shoulder pads and c**p.
