Why do you have have vat not inc in PC part prices?

Why do you have have vat not inc in PC part prices, you know when you look at PC parts online or in magz you see the cost but dont all the ads have VAT added in the price? And sometimes you think you find a bargain but then read small print VAT not INc!!. So just want to know why this happens mostly in PC part shopping, i know it happen in other sectors too, but why even bother, with separate pricing.

  1. VAT registered businesses can claim back from HM Revenue & Customs the VAT they pay on purchases - so they are more interested in the price excluding VAT.
