kids don't always know what's right and wrong, or exactly what they're doing (depending on age)  Adults, SHOULD know what they're doing, and when they don't...patience goes out the window.

Kids don't know any better most of the time. They are still learning!

Adults know better, while children don't. Most of the time anyway.

because children are still learning. Adult should know already. Plus children find it easy to put a smile on peoples faces and make them less angry by being calm

I dont i have more patience with my mom than i do my kids... Our house is in utter upheaval most of the time with nurses in and out and therapists in and out and it causes lot of stress on me and sometimes i loose my patience with my mom before my boys... My boys see the stress i am under and they try to help in every way and my mom tries to boss them around and make them feel down about themselves and that is when my patience is tested with her... I love my family no matter what but my patience level gets pretty thin pretty quick...

You expect adults to be more mature. You know kids are going to act dumb.

I have a heck of a lot more patience with adults than I do kids, actually.

Because kids are minors and still learning how to act. Adults on the otherhand are past this stage and are either being plain stupid or testing your patience.
